Dr Deborah Cameron-Flitcroft
I have over 8 years of professional experience in the Educational and Child Psychology field. My passion lies in creating a comprehensive understanding of a CYP's unique needs and collaborating closely with those who know the child best to provide the support they require.
Since I received my Doctorate, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of CYP, spanning from newborns to young adults up to the age of 25. My work has encompassed various facets of child development, including addressing learning difficulties, supporting those with English as an Additional Language, and focusing on the social, emotional, and mental health needs of CYP. Additionally, I've worked extensively with CYP facing various medical challenges.
My recent professional focus has been on trauma-informed practice, where I've played a pivotal role in assisting teenagers on the brink of care placement to access the education they deserve.
Prior to being an EP, I was a maths teacher at a secondary school ad this has continued to be an area of passion. From writing blogs to helping my own child discover their own love of mathematical discovery, this is an area I hope to continue to develop in the future.
